PS3: Showtime Media Player port

Corregidos algunos errores en esta nueva versión.

NUEVA ACTUALIZACION

Andreas Öman ha publicado Showtime 2.99.284, el media center para PS3 que podemos instalar desde un archivo PKG como cualquier otro tipo de homebrew.

Sus características principales son las del cualquier media center, reproducción de audio y vídeo y presentación de imágenes en modo slider.

Salida de vídeo

Showtime en PS3 ha sido probado con resoluciones de vídeo de 576i, 720p y 1080i.

Teclado

Admite teclado estándar a través del puerto USB y es la única manera actualmente de poder introducir información ya que de momento la aplicación no cuenta con teclado virtual.

Add support for all ISO 8859 character encodings and make it configurable in Language -> Settings which default character encoding to use for SRT files.

Aunque no hemos escuchado desde hace bastante tiempo en Showtime, Andreas Omán es realmente duro en el trabajo para su popular reproductor multimedia nativo para PS3. I've ported my opensource mediaplayer called Showtime to PS3+ psl1ght

It's still in beta stage but should work to some extent. As it relies on FFmpeg for audio / video decoding it should be able to play most files as normal open source media players can do (XBMC, VLC, etc). I've not tested it thoroughly yet (in particular video playback).

If you find files that are not playable or plays with framedrops or loses av-sync etc, please make them available so I can test them.

Most of this should work except for playback of high res. HD videos (basically when the PPU runs out of cycles). There are a bunch of strategies for how this should be handled but I've not had time to start digging into this yet

Video output¶
Showtime on PS3 has been tested with 576i, 720p and 1080i video resolutions.

I've tried to set reasonable defaults for overscan compensation. But if it not correct for you it can be adjusted under Settings -> Display and UI settings

Keyboard¶
Plugging in a standard keyboard in the PS3 USB port works and is currently the only way to input characters.
No virtual keyboard is supported at the moment.

Other stuff that does not work¶
TV-style remote controller (whatever that's called) has not been tested. No idea if it works or not.
BD/DVD/CD Discs - No idea how that works
Digital pass thru audio (AC3, DTS, etc)
